I'm back!

Hi guys! I decided to bring my blog back so there is one place that can showcase all of the photos I have been taking. 

It's been awhile and a lot has been going on. Last year I completed a 52 Self Portrait Project. This means I took one self portrait every week for a year. I will be adding photos from this but the whole project can be seen here. This helped me in so many ways become a better photographer and feel better about myself.

I have also gotten back into film. I've been shooting 35mm, 120mm and lots of polaroids. My film cameras are my go to cameras now with the exception of a few shoots. I just love the process of shooting it and feel so much more satisfied with my images. I feel like I've become a much better photographer just in the few months I've been shooting with film.

I have so many photos to share with you but now I will leave you with one of my favorite film images I have taken recently.

Hurricane Sandy.

Hey guys, I hope you all are well with Hurricane Sandy that hit last week! The area I live in is fine but the area I went to school by is destroyed. It's so sad seeing everyone's photos of the destruction and what they are all going through up there. It's like a totally different world than down here, here it's like nothing ever happened. It makes me so sad because I have so many memories of those places that are now gone or barely hanging on. Disasters like these really put into perspective what really matters.  From what I've seen so far it seems that so many people are helping to volunteer and donating their time and money to help those in need.  I know of some local photographers up there that are giving free photography sessions to those who lost their memories, or charging for sessions and then donating all the money. It's so nice that everyone is coming together. In trying to help my friends and anyone who lost their homes, everything or power I am donating 100% of what I make in my online store this month. Hey guys! I had the pleasure of shooting with Dana a couple of weeks ago. We decided to shoot at Smithville Historical Park because there are so many different places there. Julia and I have been wanting to shoot for awhile and finally had the chance a couple of months ago! We met up in Allaire State Park and took some photos. I love the way they came out and can't wait to shoot with her again! More pretty photos can be found here.

I had the privilege of photographing a wedding ceremony a couple of months ago. The church was in Jackson and had the most amazing light coming through. They were so cute and in love and I wish them the best!
